Grand Villa Argentina

Villa Argentina is definitely not worthy of a 5 star hotel rating. At best I would give it 3 stars. We just arrived at our hotel from our flight and the bell boy brought our bags to our room. He was not ready to leave without a tip. In general - the staff was not friendly and not ready to help their guests. The room was extremely old and outdated. The view from the room was very nice. The breakfast was not good. The food was not fresh and felt almost frozen. The hotel pool and beach was great. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk to town and see the old city. This hotel does not even restock our water. When I called asking them to refill the water the receptionist told me to buy a water bottle from them or drink the tap water. This type of service is definitely not 5 stars. I would not stay here again or recommend it

Grand Villa Argentina has it all! We went for a week and it felt like a luxury holiday. The staff were super useful - they will help you with your luggage, offer you tea/coffee at breakfast and help you with anything you may need. They even helped us contact our transfer when he was late to pick us up on our last day. The room was fantastic, it was spacious with great air conditioning and an upmarket feel. The tap water is also fine to drink, saving you a lot of money on bottled water. You can also fill up at breakfast if you need. The amenaties were great. In particular, we really enjoyed sitting by the pool and relaxing. As a bonus, the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the beautiful old town (although you do have to pay a 'city tax' when you leave but it's well worth it). Overall, we believe that Grand Villa Argentina has the makings of a 5 star hotel. We loved our time there and would highly recommend it.
